Group Rules
Respect one another
Everyone has a different point of view so feel free to respectfully disagree. Please be kind and courteous at all times.
Edify One Another
We are mindful of how words and tone might be understood. We work to rectify any misunderstanding or miscommunication. When hurt or offended by a stepmom sister, we work to reconcile.
Protect one another
Being in this group depends on trustworthiness. If we lose our discretion, we lose our safety. We do not repeat what is shared in the She Shed, nor do we weaponize the words of others against them.
Look before posting
There are friends in the She Shed who are wrestling with the same issue. To be most helpful to our sisters around us, search for your question or issue before posting a new thread.
Help not Therapy
The She Shed has a helpful culture while avoiding a therapy culture. Advice is welcome, analysis is prohibited. We share our experiences, suggestions, and support without delivering a diagnosis.
Protect yourself
Neither Cheryl Shumake Ministries, the Stepmom Sanity Team, admins of The She Shed, or anyone affiliated, will ever ask you to publicly post personal information (address, birthday, etc.).
No sales or spam
No selling to or spamming other members is allowed in this group. Anyone who does so will be subject to immediate removal.
No harassment of any kind
Bullying, targeting, or attacking a member of this group is not allowed and will not be tolerated.
